Marilyne Blais is an overall artistic individual.
Likes to get muddy.
Born in Northern Canada, Marilyne studied visual arts and worked as an artist and graphic designer in Montreal, Vancouver and Toronto before discovering ceramics.
Since, she relocated to Berlin where she co-founded Argile Studio with fellow ceramist Lisa Kosak, where she now happily works and teaches ceramics.
Marilyne's ceramics are entirely made by hand in small batches using the pottery wheel. Her work's graphic quality, vivid colours and smooth gradients take influences from her sculptural background, post-modern design, the early age of the internet, and tropical gardens among other things.
