Piecework is an American puzzle brand founded by Jena & Rachel.

The name Piecework is a nod to the importance of the process - it's about putting something together by hand, working it, piece by piece - instead of the result. Whether doing it alone or at a gathering with friends, puzzles are a way to take time, connect and live in the present.

After 10 years of focusing on work over life, going to parties when they really wanted to stay home, having a dinner party for ten when they wanted to cook a stew for two. Feeling exhausted in 2016, the brand's founders booked a rental cabin for a quick escape. As soon as they arrived, they found themselves locked up for a long, rainy weekend with no phone service and nothing to do. They then turned to a dusty cupboard of puzzles and realized that these puzzles offered them the rest and relaxation they had come for.

Piecework is an antidote to an obsessive work culture and screen addiction.

Rachel & Jena have succeeded in creating puzzles that are as enjoyable to watch as they are to compose.
