RIDING MODERN ART - RAPHAEL ZARKA
For about ten years, Raphaël Zarka has been collecting skateboarding photographs on public art works published in magazines or on skateboarding websites.
In 74 images, Riding Modern Art brings together 48 sculptors and 66 skaters documented by 43 photographers around the world.
For Raphaël Zarka, this is a reflection on sculpture as part of a more general questioning about the notion of public space and the "practices of spaces" of the inhabitants, close to the reflections of Michel de Certeau (L 'Invention du Quotidien, I: Arts of making, Gallimard, 1990).
